360Training Announces Availability of Internet Texas Defensive Driving Ticket Dismissal Course

AUSTIN, Texas, June 4, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- 360Training today launched the long-anticipated release of its interactive, state-approved online defensive driving ticket dismissal course for the State of Texas. The course, approved by the Texas Education Agency, is the result of over 4 years of development and regulatory accreditation efforts available through DriverCampus.com (http://www.drivercampus.com) and through a select number of 360Training's network of over 300 educational courseware distribution partners.

360Training was the first company to present the concept of online defensive driving to the Texas Education Agency in 1997; however, it delayed pursuit of accreditation in order to partner with USA Training and further expand development efforts to enhance the presentation of content into a highly interactive multimedia format. The course was designed by instructional design and multimedia experts in conjunction with USA Training Company, a Texas defensive driving pioneer with over 500 schools using its proven traffic safety curriculum.

A defensive driving course in the State of Texas is used by drivers to satisfy court mandates or is taken voluntarily to dismiss a traffic citation. The course focuses on promotion of safe driving habits and elaborates upon the significance of simple yet life-saving traffic laws. Following stringent technology infrastructure and validation criteria set and governed by the Texas Education Agency, 360Training's Texas defensive driving course provides life-saving information in a convenient format accessible to all drivers regardless of time or distance constraints.

"360Training has invested much time and energy into the development and release of its online Texas defensive driving course. Although this is not the first online course to be offered to the public, we are proud to have developed a course in a format that we feel will adequately convey critical knowledge to keep our roadways safe for all Texas drivers," said Ed Sattar, President of 360Training.

360Training's driver education portal, DriverCampus.com, began by offering Florida traffic school last year and will launch courses for mature drivers and motor carriers, and other State-approved defensive driving courses, in the summer of 2004.
