SkyLynx Communications of Costa Rica Successfully Completes Test with Government Agencies and Starts Sales on its Recently Deployed Broadband Wireless Network

SARASOTA, Fla., June 7, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- SkyLynx Communications Inc. (OTCBB:SKYC), a provider of wireless data services in narrow- and broad bands, announced today that its Costa Rican subsidiary has successfully completed a series of tests with various Costa Rican government agencies on its recently deployed broadband wireless backbone in the Central and South Pacific regions of the country. SkyLynx also announced the signing of the first contracts with customers for high-speed Point-to-Point connectivity services between San Jose, the capital and remote locations in the South Pacific region.

The system was tested to standards established by the various governmental agencies. The system met or exceeded all established standards. Similar tests are being conducted with strategic business prospects that are in need for wireless communications services. The management of SkyLynx feels that these steps are necessary in order to establish local credibility and to add momentum on the initial sales effort.

After the completion of the first communication segment (out of 4 segments) management announced the signing of several contracts for point-to-point service in the month of May and expects to continue signing new contracts as they expand their sales and marketing efforts throughout the region. The company has already begun the implementation of 2 other segments and plans to complete the rest of the nationwide coverage by the end of the year.

"We are in the process of starting a major branding campaign of our name and service", said Juan Carlos Pacheco Bolanos, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Costa Rican subsidiary. "Because of the unique culture of Costa Rica, SkyLynx is taking the steps necessary to foster corporate credibility within the government and business communities as the centerpiece of our sales and marketing plan. We feel this strategy will help to propel our sales and establish our company as one of the major communications service providers in the region."

SkyLynx utilizes a monthly subscriber fee for its business model and is targeting markets that include: government, medical and health care, hotels, banking, security, transportation, field sales and residential customers.

In addition to the high degree of acceptance of the wireless data services described above, demand for the SkyLynx flexnet(r) Automatic Vehicle Location ("AVL") has been extremely high among both government and commercial businesses. This service is expected to be a significant profit center in addition to the broadband services.
