Emulex Announces HP Qualification of its LP1050 and LP10000 Families of Fibre Channel HBAs for use with HP ProLiant and AlphaServer Systems


COSTA MESA, Calif., June 8, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Emulex Corporation (NYSE:ELX), the market leader in Fibre Channel host bus adapters (HBAs) and a leading supplier of intelligent building blocks for next generation storage networking systems, today announced that its LightPulse(TM) LP1050 and dual channel LP1050DC midrange HBAs are qualified by HP for use in industry-standard ProLiant servers within Windows operating environments. Additionally, the Emulex enterprise-class LP10000 and dual channel LP1000DC Fibre Channel HBAs are qualified by HP for use with the HP AlphaServer series of servers running the Tru64 UNIX and OpenVMS operating environments. Emulex HBAs provide the flexibility and manageability via its unique firmware-based architecture that customers demand for data intensive storage networking environments.
