United Heritage Corporation Appoints Thomas J. Pernice to Board of Directors


CLEBURNE, Texas, June 9, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- United Heritage Corporation (Nasdaq:UHCP) announced today that Thomas J. Pernice has joined the Board of Directors. Mr. Pernice has served as a senior executive in the federal government and Fortune 500 corporations for more than 19 years. The appointment increases the number of independent directors on the Board to five.

Currently, he is President and Founder of Modena Holding Corporation, a business development, strategic communications, and political consulting company. He also currently serves as a consultant to a federal agency and on the Board of Directors of Universal Guardian Holdings (OTCBB:UGHO) and Advanced Biotherapy, Inc. (OTCBB:ADVB).

Prior to founding Modena, Mr. Pernice was a corporate officer and Vice President, Public Affairs for Dole Food Company, Inc. for more than seven years. Reporting directly to Chairman and CEO, David H. Murdock, Mr. Pernice managed corporate communications, investor relations, state and federal government relations and special assignments from the Chairman for the conglomerate of publicly and privately held business interests of Mr. Murdock, including Castle & Cooke, Inc. Prior to joining Dole Food Company, he served in The White House for more than seven years, first as a staff assistant to The President in the Reagan Administration and later as a senior official in the Bush (41) Administration. During this time, Mr. Pernice traveled with The White House to all 50 states and more than 90 countries and territories.
