Buffalo Technology Hires New Chief Operating Officer and Expands Executive Team

AUSTIN, Texas, June 14, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Buffalo Technology (USA), Inc., a global leader in the design, development and manufacturing of wireless networking, storage and memory solutions today announced that it has appointed Satoshi Inaba as its Chief Operating Officer. The company has also expanded its executive sales and marketing team with two senior-level hires.

Under his new title, Mr. Inaba will be responsible for manufacturing operations, research and development, product commercialization, and business development for the PC Peripheral and Memory Divisions at Buffalo.

Mr. Inaba has devoted over 15 years of his professional career to expanding sales and marketing efforts for leading communications and networking companies. Mr. Inaba was most recently with Alcatel as the Country Manager, where he was responsible for expanding sales and marketing efforts for the LAN switch market in Japan. Prior to Alcatel, he held a Director-level position at Uniden Japan, where he was responsible for developing retail channels in the United States. Mr. Inaba holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Iowa State University.

Along with Mr. Inaba, Buffalo has brought on board two sales and marketing executives. Stephen Dix has been appointed as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Buffalo's PC Peripheral Division and Steve Havis has been appointed as the Director of Buffalo's Memory Division. Both bring over 40 years of combined sales and marketing experience to Buffalo.

In his new position, Mr. Dix will be responsible for all sales and marketing initiatives for Buffalo's networking and storage products. Mr. Dix brings more than 20 years of experience to Buffalo. Prior to joining Buffalo, he held executive level positions with Borland, Farallon and Asante. Dix also held an executive level position at NETGEAR, where he helped establish the company as a leading global networking brand while gaining extensive experience in sales, marketing, distribution and support.

As the Director of Buffalo's Memory Division, Havis will be responsible for all sales and marketing initiatives. Prior to Buffalo, Mr. Havis held executive-level positions with such companies as Xerox, where he was a Marketing Executive and Micron Technology, where he was the Director of Sales and Marketing. Most recently, Havis held the position of Director of Sales and Marketing at JST Manufacturing, Inc. Havis also served in the United States military. He holds an MBA degree from Boise State University and a Bachelor's Degree from Temple University.
