Nighthawk Receives Orders from Core Customers

Conference Presentation Attracts New Opportunities

DENVER, June 14, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Nighthawk Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:NIHK) announced today that it has received orders and requests for products from three core customers from within its targeted markets. The Company was also invited to and made a presentation during the first week of June on "Revenue Enhancement Opportunities" at the Southeast Communications Association Conference.

The Company has received a request for additional PT-1000 load control units from Duquesne Light Company. This represents the Company's third order from Duquesne. The Company announced the second order from Duquesne earlier this year on March 30, 2004.

The Company's largest customer from 2003, a worldwide provider of digital signage and interactive kiosk networks, has placed additional orders for Nighthawk's NH2 rebooting devices. This customer has utilized the NH2 for managing unmanned computer kiosks for a major wireless telecommunications provider in the past, and now is utilizing the NH2 in a program to provide digital communications for one of the nation's largest commercial banking organizations.

The Company is also processing an order for one of the country's premier manufacturers of digital highway advisory radio systems. The customer has been utilizing Nighthawk's products in their operations for two years to meet the needs of departments of transportation and emergency service providers.

Conference Sparks New Interest

The Southeast Communications Association Conference was attended primarily by regional members of the American Association of Paging Carriers. Myron Anduri, Nighthawk's President, was invited to give a speech on opportunities for wireless telecommunications providers to generate additional revenue opportunities. Mr. Anduri was invited by a representative of Central Vermont Communications, Inc. ("CVC"). CVC provides paging services that allow Central Vermont Public Service, which uses Nighthawk's CEO-30 to control loads on demand.

Nighthawk has already received two test orders from conference attendees. "Because of our success in converting test orders into subsequent larger orders, test orders are probably the most important step in the overall sales process," said Anduri.

H. Douglas Saathoff, Nighthawk's Chief Executive Officer, stated that "The first ten days of June are a clear confirmation of our strategic position in the world of remote power control. We've received orders from each of our targeted markets for our product to be incorporated into or alongside other hardware. Each of these customers has a large, established and growing customer base. In some cases, such as those we're announcing today, our equipment enables our customers to gain such a competitive and strategic edge over their competition they request that we not use their names in a press release. Also, wireless service providers are realizing that Nighthawk Systems enables companies to utilize their services to perform tasks previously performed through telephone lines. As these orders and activities illustrate, Nighthawk will continue to find new customers through our own direct efforts and from the efforts of other companies who recognize the benefits of our technology."
