American Multiplexer Corp. (Pink Sheets: AMUT) announced Monday after the closing bell that it expects sales will increase considerably after it adds a PDF compressor to their product line. The new product is able to compress and convert any TIFF, JPEG and BMP documents or images to PDF Format. The input can be TIFF input of scanned colored documents containing text and images. It will support multi-page format and it will also be compatible to Acrobat Reader 5.0 or higher. The PDF compressor will save tremendous storage space and consequently reduce infrastructure cost immensely. eFotoXpress is a software utility that uses wavelet compression technology and the new JPEG2000 standard to easily compress very large images so that they may be sent by e-mail without any loss in quality.The PDF Compressor is expected to be launch shortly. AMUT currently trades at around .25 a share.
On the Nasdaq, IPIX Security (Nasdaq:IPIX), business unit IPIX AdMission, a provider of directional advertising solutions, announced Monday the availability of AdMission(tm) -- a hosted media platform providing publishers with turnkey products that enable local advertisers to easily create online ads that showcase their businesses, products and services, without requiring graphics expertise. AdMission builds on the standard set by IPIX Rimfire imaging technology and adds additional features and improved functionality important to local advertisers, consumers and publishers. IPIX traded 31,918,060 shares Monday to end at $13.38 up $1.14 (9.31%).
