PocketSpec Technologies Inc. Announced Today a New Software System Designed for Manufacturing Industries and a Pending Agreement to Sell the New Software Systems to a Plastics Industry Distribution Network

DENVER, June 16, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- PocketSpec Technologies Inc. (OTCBB:PKSP) announced the pending release of a manufacturing software system that integrates its ColorQA color technology. This will mark the second software system since the announcement of the Easy ColorQA System earlier this month.

This second system, the ColorQA Pro System II, will be available for sale in the next few weeks at a price of $1,780.00. Currently many manufacturers pay between $10,000 and $20,000 for complex spectrophotometers that are not needed in most applications. PocketSpec's new software will provide an inexpensive alternative and still satisfy needed ISO standards of manufacturing, with measurements in the needed color expressions of industry such as Delta E difference. This new system can serve the quality assurance needs of any industry that requires correct color in its production, from powders to solids, and will compete very well with present industry leaders such as DataColor, Minolta and Xrite.

Jeff Krupka, PocketSpec's General Manager, said, "This is further evidence of PocketSpec's mission to increase shareholder value and profitability for the company by becoming a major provider of cost-effective software solutions for the color industry," who went on to say, "We expect to announce in the next week, an agreement with a strong distribution team that will market our software systems and other products to the Plastics Industry, and notably, the agreement will include an initial purchase of approximately $100,000.00 in inventory."

PocketSpec's rapid software development is made possible by the collaboration between Gregg Wagner, PocketSpec's Chief Technical Officer, and Giorgio Stevanato and his team at Logicol S.r.l., of Italy, PocketSpec's software partner. PocketSpec will provide an on-line demo of this second system on its website, www.pocketspec.com, as well as Logicol's website, www.easyrgb.com.
