New Volume of Expectorations Series

A Collection of Original Poems and Quotations

MILLBRAE, Ca., June 17, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- In the fifth installment of the Expectorations series, readers will once again delight in this collection of prose and poetry. Michael Abramson is a man of science who has kept a lifelong romance with the visual and the literary arts. A physician by profession but an art aficionado and collector at heart, he immerses in literature and also collects rare objects of art. In this new volume of Expectorations, he serves up a collection of new poems and quotations as well as some of his best works from the previous volumes that reflect the insight, the love, and the humor that the author has come to be known for.

Michael Abramson's works are marked with his unique perspective. His subjects range greatly -- love, life, women, and politics. Having dealt with thousands of women patients, Dr. Abramson could definitely claim to be an authority on women or what he fondly calls "such complex and beautiful beings" that will never be fully understood by any man. But it is with the way he looks at things that Dr. Abramson sets himself apart from other poets and authors. He views his subjects from different points, blurring distinctions of truth and fiction. The fantasy notwithstanding, Dr. Abramson always treats his subjects with insight, sensitivity, humor, and plain fun. Perhaps his style is best likened to the intricate stained glass that he collects. As the colored glass reflects myriad of colors and images, so does the meaning of his work shift with his skillful use of the English language.

The previous volumes have carried on their covers some pieces from his stained glass collection, and a bronze sculpture appears on the cover of the latest book. Dr. Abramson shares with his readers his love for the arts and his wisdom gained from his years of experience and retrospect. His work will make readers laugh, reflect, and maybe even cry, and perhaps get a fresh view of life and how to live it.
