JetBlue Launches International Service to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

Low-fare Carrier Begins Service to Second Dominican Republic Destination

NEW YORK, June 17, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- JetBlue Airways (Nasdaq:JBLU), New York's low-fare carrier, today begins its inaugural service to Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic. The carrier now serves the Dominican Republic's capital city with one daily nonstop flight from New York City's John F. Kennedy International Airport.

The launch of new service to Santo Domingo today continues JetBlue's expansion into the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean. The airline started twice daily service between JFK and Santiago on June 10 and also recently increased its service to Puerto Rico, adding a new daily flight between JFK and Aguadilla on May 27.

"We had a very successful launch last week with our new service to Santiago," said David Neeleman, CEO of JetBlue Airways. "Our customers are already telling us how happy they are to see JetBlue bringing low fares to the Dominican Republic. We're looking forward to offering our Santo Domingo customers the JetBlue experience with new planes, a 34-inch seat pitch for most seats, and award-winning friendly service."

JetBlue's entrance into the Dominican Republic also marks the opening of the carrier's Airport Ticket Office (ATO) locations in Santiago and Santo Domingo. The ATO locations allow local customers the option of placing their reservation on hold and paying for it within 24 hours at either of the ATO locations. Both ATO locations will be open daily, from 9:00am to 6:00pm.
