BELLINGHAM, Wash., June 18, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Golden Spirit Minerals Ltd. (OTCBB:GSPM) reports that previous prospecting on the Blue Doe and June Ellen Gold Prospects located in the northern part of the Ravenswood Batholith area located in Queensland, Australia, has shown that the quartz has attractive analysis of gold and generated these significant findings:

Government Geologist Connah (1953) reported on assay results taken from the target area as -- South-side June Ellen open cut 6.96 ppm per tonne gold; North-side June Ellen 18.4 ppm per tonne gold; 6.4 meters north of June Ellen open cut 11.0 ppm per tonne gold; June Ellen main open cut 32.9 ppm per tonne gjold (sample taken from 1 tonne of bagged ore).

North Queensland Mining Pty. Ltd. (October 1996) collected rock-chip samples which assayed 2.03, 1.60, 6.60, 1.06, 0.02, less than 0.01 and 0.28 ppm per tonne gold. A further 14 rock-chip samples were collected and assayed as: 0.671, 1.87, 2.92, 1.37, 10.45, 0.098, 0.650, 0.178, 0.066, 0.895, 2.59, 1.4, 2.78 and 0.432 ppm gold. This consistency of comparable assay results indicates values worthy of further detailed exploration activity.

Plutonic Operations in prospect examination of The Blue Doe (May, 1997) collected 6 rock-chip samples. The gold values were: 0.22, 2.31, 1.005, 0.964, 16.45 and 17.05 ppm per tonne gold.

Janis Puce, consulting geologist and Kev Doyle, operations manager, recently conducted a further examination of the prospect area collecting grab rock chip samples along strike of the Blue Doe and June Ellen prospects. Assay results were:4.65, 16.5, 1.99, 0.74, 0.02, 2.60, 1.08, and 1.03 ppm per tonne gold.

A work program is being planned for the further exploration and development of these prospects.
