Skanska Sells Property in Gothenburg for SEK 72 Million, with a Gain of SEK 68 Million

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, June 23, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Skanska Project Development Sweden is selling its 50 percent interest in the Lorensberg 45:19 property in Gothenburg to Bygg-Gota for SEK 72 M. The capital gain amounts to SEK 68 M and is being reported in the second quarter of 2004. The buyer gains access on June 23, 2004.

Lorensberg is an office property with shops on the bottom floor. It is located on the Kungsport Avenue in Gothenburg. The 4,500-square-meter property was constructed in 1971 and Skanska has owned half of the property since then.

"We sell properties that are largely fully leased to be able to develop new projects. We view it as natural to transfer our share to Bygg-Gota, which owns the remaining interest in the property." says Lars Vardheim, President of Skanska Fastigheter Goteborg AB.

Skanska Project Development Sweden focuses on the initiation, development, management and sale of commercial property projects (offices, logistics and volume retail centers). The main emphasis is on Stockholm, Gothenburg and the Oresund region.
