VANCOUVER, British Columbia, June 24, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- SMS@ctive Technologies Corp. (Pink Sheets:SMSE) is pleased to announce its participation in the British Columbia, Canada Amber Alert Program. The Amber Alert program was launched in British Columbia in May of 2004 by Premier Gordon Campbell and Solicitor General Rich Coleman. According to CEO Arshad Shah, "SMS@ctive assisted in the development of the technical specifications for the activation of an Amber Alert, especially in the area of wireless technology. The company continues its involvement with Amber Alert through its Executive Vice President, Andre Thompson, who serves as a member of the Board of Directors of The Amber Alert Society of British Columbia."

Amber Alert, named after Amber Hagerman, a nine-year-old girl from Arlington, Tex., who was kidnapped and murdered in 1996, is a non-profit partnership between law enforcement and the media. The goal of the program is to immediately alert the public of child abduction and have the public help improve the chance of the child's recovery.
