Wolters Kluwer: Bankers Systems Provides Access to Anti-Money Laundering Solutions for U.S. Financial Organizations

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, June 24, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Wolters Kluwer, a leading multinational publisher and information services company, announced today that Bankers Systems, Inc., part of its Corporate & Financial Services division, has further strengthened its position within the United States financial services sector. Through COMPLY/AML, the newest anti-money laundering solution provided by Atchley Systems, a subsidiary of Bankers Systems, leading financial organizations will have access to several of the company's established anti-money laundering (AML) systems that help meet the reporting and monitoring requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.

Officially launched by Atchley Systems in January of 2004, COMPLY/AML helps organizations comply with the reporting and monitoring requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act and the USA PATRIOT Act. The service is delivered through an Application Service Provider (ASP) format, which allows Atchley Systems to make its AML tools accessible to a greater number of organizations by eliminating the need for specific hardware.

Atchley System's five major software systems help organizations comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act requirements. One of those is COMPLY/WIRE, an electronic funds transfer (EFT) monitoring and record-keeping system that enables organizations to carefully review selected categories of wire transfers and monitor them for suspicious activity. It also provides an automated way to maintain funds transfer records that can be easily retrieved when requested by examiners or law enforcement agencies.

"Bankers Systems believes in offering financial organizations flexible solutions that can grow with the client organization," said Bob White, President of Bankers Systems, Inc. "According to their needs, organizations can select from a comprehensive offering of anti-money laundering solutions through the COMPLY/AML service."

Bankers Systems acquired Atchley Systems in October 2003 to broaden its line of Financial Intelligence Solutions that help financial organizations combat identity theft, money laundering, and terrorism. At the heart of the solutions is Bankers Systems' PATRIOT Act Connection(TM), an integrated and risk-based tool that helps organizations meet the identity verification and record retention requirements of Section 326 of the USA PATRIOT Act.
