The Jordan Company's Sensus Metering Systems Acquires the Assets of NexusData


NEW YORK, June 24, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Jordan Company, L.P. ("Jordan") announced that Sensus Metering Systems, Inc. ("Sensus"), a company formed by Jordan in December 2003 to acquire the Invensys Metering Systems business from Invensys plc, completed the purchase of certain assets of NexusData, Inc. ("Nexus") on June 8, 2004. The acquisition of Nexus will provide Sensus with a fixed network automatic meter reading ("AMR") capability for the water, gas and electric utility markets. The combination of the Company's existing mobile radio read AMR system and NexusData's fixed base AMR system will enable Sensus to offer its customers the most comprehensive AMR solution options available in the utility marketplace.

Sensus is a leading world class provider of advanced metering and related communications systems to the worldwide utility industry and a global developer and manufacturer of heat metering systems. In addition to the company's metering businesses, Sensus is the leading North American producer of pipe joining and repair products for water and natural gas utilities and a premier supplier of precision manufactured aluminum die castings. For the fiscal year ended March 31, 2004, the Company generated annual revenues of approximately $530.0 million.
