Superscape Global Network Operator Strategy on Schedule with Third Top Tier Contract Win

HOOK, Hampshire, U.K., July 5, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Superscape Group plc (LSE:SPS) (Other OTC:SCPDF), the technology based leader in revolutionary entertainment for mobile phones, announces today that it has signed a revenue sharing distribution agreement with a world leading global network operator to distribute the company's expanding portfolio of mobile games.

This is the third revenue-sharing contract to be signed, bringing the company's mobile games to another of the top ten Superscape targeted network operators around the globe. The first agreement, with Verizon, was announced on 29th April and Superscape now has multiple games generating thousands of royalty bearing downloads, delivered over the air, on the Verizon network today. The second partnership announced recently will bring Superscape mobile games to the China Mobile network in August.

Kevin Roberts, CEO, Superscape Group plc said: "I am delighted to report that we have now signed this very important and key distribution agreement with an organisation that is widely recognised as being at the forefront of mobile games introduction and distribution. This contract win was at the top of the list of ten targeted operators for Superscape and will result in a dramatic increase in the number of consumers to whom we now have access. The revenue-sharing agreement - under the terms of which Superscape receives an attractive portion of royalties - opens up revenue streams for the company's games from the mass market of end users.

"It is estimated that by the end of this year, there will be at least ten million Swerve-enabled handsets in the marketplace. Combined with the distribution agreements we are now signing with world-leading operators, I believe that Superscape's Swerve will have achieved substantial market presence by the close of 2004."

Details of the titles which will be available for download from the networks for all mass-market handsets will be announced shortly but will include games based on high profile IP (intellectual property) from Superscape's entertainment partners who include Disney, 20th Century Fox, Universal Studios, Activision and Global Wireless Entertainment (GWE).

Kevin Roberts continued: "I anticipate that we will be making further announcements concerning both direct and indirect network operator contracts (the latter being made via partnerships) over the course of the next few months. Superscape's four corners strategy of working with handset manufacturers, operators, wireless technology companies and leading global entertainment groups has provided Superscape with a strong first to market advantage with its revolutionary portfolio of mobile games. Clearly these agreements are absolutely fundamental as they provide not only the means of distributing our games to consumers throughout the world, but also provide the potential for multiple mass market revenue streams."
