The volume winner on the Nasdaq Tuesday was Conexant Systems Inc. (Nasdaq:CNXT). Conexant on Tuesday said quarterly earnings could be less than half its prior outlook, citing cheaper short-range wireless chips from Taiwan. Shares of Conexant were down $1.77 on Tuesday (43.38%) to end at $2.31 on volume of 125,203,796.
Also on the Nasdaq trading well was Yak Communications Inc. (Nasdaq:YAKC). YAKC traded 639,533 shares Tuesday to end at $9.80, up 3.58 (33.93%). Yak is an Integrated Communications Provider (ICP) offering a full array of long distance (1+, toll free and dial-around), local lines, travel cards, cellular long distance, data services, and coming soon broadband voice to residential and small businesses in North America.
