AVL Announces Successful U.K. Testing


FT. GRATIOT, Mich., July 12, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- AVL Global, Inc. (Pink Sheets:AVLB) is pleased to announce the successful testing, deployment and sale of its new GSM based "Chaperone" tracking device in the UK. Working with its UK distributor, EO Com Limited of Liverpool, England, AVL Global has extensively tested the device in various locations throughout the UK, including Scotland and was very pleased with the successful results. EO Com Limited is headed by Dr. John Drage, former Managing Director of European Operations for GE.

The first retail sales were made to a major auto parts distributor Maplin Inc., with over 60 locations throughout the UK. Maplin intends to train their personnel to demonstrate the product and offer it through its retail and on-line outlets.

EO Com is continuing to test and demonstrate the unit through its network of dealers in both the European Community and Africa. The unit will operate using both SMS messaging and GPRS, whichever is the most economical in the operating location.
