Northrop Grumman Announces Media Briefing Schedule at Farnborough Air Show


LOS ANGELES -- July 12, 2004 -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) will conduct a series of briefings for media attending the Farnborough Air Show, July 19-25, in Farnborough, Hampshire, United Kingdom. The briefings will feature a number of Northrop Grumman's high-profile programs, including several with significant transatlantic participation.

Northrop Grumman and its industry teammates Aurora Flight Sciences, Rolls-Royce, Raytheon Company and L-3 Communications will present an update on the RQ-4 Global Hawk high-altitude, long-endurance unmanned reconnaissance system. Global Hawk provides high-resolution imagery in near real time to battlefield commanders. While conducting strategic reconnaissance missions during its operational debut in Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom, the system proved its flexibility as a tactical asset. "Battle Management Demonstration: Hawkeye, the 'Server in the Sky"Wednesday, July 21; 1000-1100; Media Center, Northrop Grumman PavilionPresenters: Capt. This presentation will describe a recent demonstration in which a Hawkeye directed a Fire Scout UAV to detect a ground target. Then, using an Internet-like network, took a video feed from the UAV's camera and passed it to another site where the video was converted to precise target data.
