Emulex Announces Certification of its LP10000 and LP10000DC Fibre Channel HBAs for use in HP-UX Environments


COSTA MESA, Calif., July 14, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Emulex Corporation (NYSE:ELX), the market leader in Fibre Channel host bus adapters (HBAs) and a leading supplier of intelligent building blocks for next generation storage networking systems, today announced that its LightPulse(tm) LP10000 and LP10000DC Fibre Channel HBAs have been certified for use in HP-UX 11i v1 operating system environments. Emulex worked closely with HP to complete the "Certified for HP-UX"(1) program, which enables the highest levels of interoperability for Emulex HBAs into HP-UX 11i operating environments.

Emulex LP10000 and LP10000DC HBAs are certified for HP-UX 11i v1 with the following PA-RISC-based HP 9000 servers: HP Superdome, HP Server rp8420-32, rp8400-16, rp7420-16, rp7410-8, rp7400, rp5400 and rp2400 series. Previously qualified Emulex HBAs include 2Gb/s LP9002L for the following HP servers running in HP-UX 11i operating environments: HP Superdome, HP Server rp8400-16, rp7410-8, rp7400, rp5400 and rp2400 series. The 2Gb/s LP9002DC Dual Channel HBA has been qualified for use with HP Superdome and HP Server rp8400-16 and rp7410-8.
