WASHINGTON, D.C., July 26, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) will highlight its homeland-security and defense-planning suite, video-surveillance system, security-management technology, and public-safety solutions this week at the 2004 Government Security Expo & Conference (GOVSEC).
The exposition will be held July 28-29 at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. Northrop Grumman's Information Technology (IT) sector will be located at booth number 3709.
On Thursday, July 29 at 11 a.m. in Booth 3841, Northrop Grumman's Milt Tulkoff, manager for research and technology, will give a technical assistance briefing titled Integrating the Technologies of Emergency Management Services. Using a tool such as the Virtual Integrated System of Systems Tool for Analysis (VIS2TA), emergency services officials can access, integrate and visualize sensor inputs, databases and a variety of tools and applications to support rapid analyses, course-of-action assessments and decision-making.
Northrop Grumman IT is working to ensure federal, state and local agencies have the highest quality emergency systems and security tools available. At Northrop Grumman's exhibit, conference attendees will learn about significant advances in IT security and how various organizations are using the company's solutions.
Northrop Grumman IT will demonstrate VIS2TA. The fully functioning modeling-and-simulation system is a complete suite of homeland-security and defense-planning, training, exercise and crisis-management/operations tools integrated around a geospatial visualization environment.
The company will also display its video surveillance system, AlertVideo(tm). The system extracts valuable behavior and event information from existing surveillance systems and provides instantaneous visual and audible alerts. AlertVideo identifies potential threats and issues real-time alerts that highlight when, where and what needs immediate attention.
The company's exhibit will also highlight SecurTracker(tm), a comprehensive security-management tool that automates day-to-day security processes and documentation at classified facilities. Nine integrated modules support personnel security, programs, contracts, facilities, materials, computer security, visitor control, visit requests and badging.
