uWink Strengthens Management Team for Innovative New Product Line


LOS ANGELES, Calif., July 26, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- uWink, Inc. (OTCBB:UWNK), a designer, developer and marketer of entertainment software for video game terminals and amusement vending machines, today announced the addition of Michael Newman as Director of Merchandise for its new line of innovative "Entertainment Vending" machines, labeled the "uW1000 Series". Mr. Newman brings to uWink significant experience in creating, developing and managing successful retail merchandise lines. Most notably, Mr. Newman was formerly responsible for developing hard-line products, including plush, collectibles and home entertainment-based merchandise for the Disney Store chain. Most recently he was responsible for spearheading the design and merchandise assortment strategy for the upcoming Bratz Online Retail Site for MGA Entertainment, Inc., home of the Bratz Doll Line.

Mr. Newman will be responsible for creating marketing and merchandising programs for the new uW1000 Series Entertainment Vending retail units. With its on-screen demonstration capability, the patent-pending uW1000 combines the fun of a video game, the convenience of vending, and retail style merchandising to provide a powerful and economical way to distribute a variety of products in almost any location. Mr. Newman is focused on developing the product lines into popular and desirable brands with the goal of establishing significant recurring revenue for the company.
