Abucco Successfully Delivers eSkate Systems

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Aug. 3, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Stafford Energy, Inc., ("Stafford") (Pink Sheets:SFDE), is very pleased to announce that its subsidiary Abucco Technologies Inc. ("Abucco") has finalized the commissioning of two eSkate systems which are used to interactively control the Skatemills at the Hockey Performance Centers located in North Vancouver and Abbotsford, British Columbia respectively.

Hockey Performance Center Founder and President Dusan Benicky commented: "We are very pleased with the first two deliveries of the eSkate product from Abucco. This system has facilitated our desire to provide professional hockey players and other hockey enthusiasts a place to improve their skating and puck handling abilities. We have proven the concept over the last number of months and now we are ready to launch the Skatemill to the world. The potential is huge as numerous clubs and arenas throughout the world have already expressed great interest in acquiring a Skatemill. Currently, we are anticipating a number of additional orders for both North American and European clubs."

Jaro Bucko, President of Abucco Technologies Inc. commented: "This specialty application proves flexibility and adaptability of our powerful AicAAA(c) technology to applications which are not of our mainstream. We are happy to participate in the most advanced hockey skill development system in the world!"

The Skatemill is something like a regular, runner's treadmill, except that it is wider and its "ice" is made from 1 1/2 inch pieces of special plastic. The Skatemill has variable speeds up to 30 miles per hour and a variable incline angle up to 20 degrees. All Hockey Performance Centre Skatemills are equipped with video cameras and recording capability. Typically there are two cameras, one in front and one on the side. Video analysis of a Skatemill session is a superb way for the players to see their own stride. Copies of the video can easily be stored on a Compact Disc for regular review by the player and his coaches. The eSkate system provides real-time interactive control and monitoring functions for all of the above and provides a solid base from which additional system development is planned.
