Alfa Laval sells property in Madrid


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Aug. 10, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Alfa Laval, a world leader in centrifugal separation, heat transfer and fluid handling, has sold its property in Madrid, Spain. The property was divested for MSEK 265 with an estimated realised gain in connection with the sale of approximately MSEK 70.

Alfa Laval has during the last five years and in accordance with its strategy not to tie up capital, disposed properties vacated or only partly utilised by the company. The Madrid site includes the sales company head office for the Iberica region and a manufacturing unit, producing high-speed separators mainly for the Marine market. Alfa Laval has singed signed a lease agreement in parallel to the divestment for a period up to 5 years. Other properties for sale, after the divestment of the site in Madrid, are located in Brazil, UK and in the US.
