SkyLynx Communications, Inc. Completes Initial Deployment In Denver, CO Area

SARASOTA, Fla., Aug. 11, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- SkyLynx Communications, Inc. (OTCBB:SKYC), a provider of data wireless services in narrow and broad bands, announced today that it has recently completed the initial phase of deployment of its network in the Denver/Aurora, Colorado area.

As part of its continuing effort to promote its services across the United States, SkyLynx has begun network deployment to provide data communications coverage over a 5000 square mile area in the Denver region. Providing coverage to some of the remote and challenging areas of this region will allow SkyLynx to market its Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) and data communications capabilities to those markets that require more from their provider. Phase II, the expansion of the serving area in this market is presently under way as well.

SkyLynx' AVL system relies on new, proprietary technology that provides superior geographical penetration for vehicle location and telemetric capability. It provides first response groups and other commercial users, such as trucking fleets, with a low-cost, highly reliable tracking, monitoring and data-exchange system. The network provides extensive geographic coverage; broader tracking capabilities; extended data communications; optimized utilization of existing assets; and increased worker productivity.

"This is one more step we have taken to provide a low cost alternative to the markets that require broader coverage and more consistent data communications," said Kevin Gorman, SkyLynx' Chief Operating Officer.

SkyLynx utilizes a monthly subscriber fee for its business model and is targeting markets that include: government, medical and health care, hotels, banking, security, transportation, field sales, and residential customers.
