East Delta Discloses Important Gold Discovery in China

Bake Gold Property Contains Minimally Four Sizable Ore Bodies

MONTREAL, Aug. 11, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- East Delta Resources Corp. (OTCBB:EDLT), a Canadian based gold exploration and mining company operating in China, today made public the conclusions of geological analysis of substantial data collected thus far on one of its Chinese gold properties.

East Delta, through its wholly owned Canadian subsidiary, Amingo Resources Inc., holds a Joint Venture agreement with the provincial and county governments of Guizhou Province and Jinping County, (China) respectively, to explore and mine gold within their territories. Under the terms of the agreement, Amingo has acquired rights to explore and develop a 72 square kilometer property in the county named "Bake". Over the past years, Guizhou provincial government geologists, in conjunction with East Delta's own experts, and several other mining companies have accumulated geophysical and geological data concentrated on several distinct portions of the Bake property. The data, covering only a small fraction of the property, identifies at least 4 very substantial gold bearing zones of the quartz vein type at Bake.

Victor I.H. Sun, CEO of East Delta stated, "This is only the beginning of extensive exploratory work to be done at Bake, and already we have uncovered very strong indications that Bake has the potential to become a substantial gold find and world class mining operation. To support this contention, we intend to publish drilling results and indicated reserves on the first of these many zones fairly soon." Mr. Sun went on to remind readers that the Company's chief geologist, Dr. Huan-Zhang Lu, will be a presenter at the 32nd International Geological Congress being held in Florence, Italy, this summer and that the potential of the Bake property will be featured at this conference.
