Tele2 Customer Intake For The Third Quarter 2004


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Aug. 13, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Tele2 AB ("Tele2"), (Nasdaq:TLTOA) (Nasdaq:TLTOB) (Stockholmsborsen: TEL2A and TEL2B) the leading alternative pan-European telecommunications company, today announced that, based on agreed marketing activities for the third quarter of 2004, the estimated intake for the quarter will range between 1 and 1.5 million net new subscribers. Overall, Tele2 will maintain a high level of activity in marketing, but has decided to reduce emphasis on dial-up Internet during this quarter.
