WHAT: Each year, the CDMA Development Group (CDG) (www.cdg.org) presents the 3G CDMA Industry Achievement Awards, which honor the commitment and accomplishments of the world's leading companies and individuals in the 3G mobile industry. This year, the CDG has added new award categories to recognize the most innovative content providers and application developers in both the Consumer and Enterprise markets. Consumer Award Categories: -- Application of Music/Audio -- Mobile Game Development -- Use of Messaging -- Entertainment Technology Development Enterprise Award Categories: -- Wireless Enterprise Solution Implementation -- Vertical and Horizontal -- Wireless Enterprise Solution -- Vertical and Horizontal The CDG is working with guest judges to review nominations and select winners for these new award categories. Ralph Simon, chairman of the Mobile Entertainment Forum's Americas group, will select and present the Consumer awards, and Ed Meskill, Publisher/Founder of Mobile Enterprise Magazine, will select and present the Enterprise awards. Awards will also be given for Industry Leadership, International Leadership, Service Innovation, Subscriber Technology Innovation, Network Technology Innovation, and Innovative Solutions, and there is a write-in category where you may suggest an award of your own design. Final selection of these award winners will be determined by a committee of judges that will include 3G operators and equipment suppliers, members of industry associations, media and analysts. Nominations for this year's Achievement Awards are open to the public at www.cdg.org.
