Service contract a breakthrough for PROACT

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Aug. 20, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Information and technology specialist PROACT has concluded a major agreement with and Hewlett-Packard in Norway for IT operations services at Ericsson, so-called Managed Services. This agreement, together with existing service contracts and several new recruitments, lays the foundation for a major Nordic thrust in business area Managed Services.

The agreement covers operation of data storage systems and a help desk for work stations as well as servers. The value of the agreement amounts to about MSEK 11. PROACT already cooperates actively with Teleca and Ericsson in Grimstad. The agreement now concluded means that the assignment is expanded to cover a broader spectrum of services. In part, work under the contract will be performed by personnel recruited from Ericsson.

"PROACT's service business has displayed a good development during the quarter, which is completely in line with the adopted strategy of gradually switching systems revenue with lower margins in the direction of service revenue with higher profitability and better predictability," says Henrik Holm, President of PROACT IT Group AB.
