Buffalo Technology Expands Upon its Dedication to Wi-Fi Simplified With Intel(R) Centrino(tm) Mobile Technology Interoperability Verification


AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 23, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Buffalo Technology, a global leader in the design, development and manufacturing of wired and wireless networking, storage and memory solutions today announced its award-winning line of AirStation G54 and 125* High Speed Mode(tm) wireless networking solutions have been verified through the Intel(r) Wireless Verification Program, which tests the compatibility of various access point devices and wireless service providers with common configurations of notebooks built on Intel(r) Centrino(tm) mobile technology.**

The Buffalo solutions that have been verified through the Intel Wireless Verification Program include the AirStation 125* High Speed Mode(tm) Wireless Cable/DSL Router (WHR3-G54); the AirStation 54Mbps Wireless Cable/DSL Router-g with AOSS(tm) (WBR2-G54); the AirStation 54Mbps Standard Bridge Access Point (WLA-G54); and the AirStation 54Mbps Wireless Compact Repeater Bridge-g (WLA-G54C). The packaging now displays a "Connect with a laptop featuring Intel Centrino mobile technology" logo to indicate the products have passed interoperability testing.

All of these products have received Wi-Fi(r) certification from the Wi-Fi Alliance for compatibility and interoperability with the 802.11b and 802.11g standards and the WPA security standard. Wi-Fi certification is a requirement for products tested in the Intel Wireless Verification Program.
