Vertex Interactive Announces Business Intelligence Labor Standards Product

Graphics Enhance Ease of Use

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, N.J., Aug. 24, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Vertex Interactive Inc. (OTCBB:VETX), a provider of software technology for order and fulfillment warehouse management, announced the release of its eWMS warehouse management solution, Release 4.1, which incorporates its new Business Intelligence Labor Standards Module. This new enhancement, in addition to providing real-time visibility into workforce performance and collecting labor measurements in warehouse operations, also automatically translates the data gathered into a color-coded graphical representation. The data thus gathered can be easily analyzed using color graphics and can be manipulated by the user to manage the work force towards optimal productivity or other defined goals.

Bob Schilt, Vertex's Chief Technical Officer, explained, "The beauty of this system is that it provides an easy-to-use tool to assist warehouse operators in maximizing the productivity of their people working in warehouses and distribution centers. An operations executive or warehouse manager can view the data graphically in color, instantly spot areas of concern and address them appropriately."
