By-Product Of EMTI'S AWE Technology to Address Growing Markets for High-Purity Water

TUCSON, Ariz., Sept. 1, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Environmental Technologies International, Inc. (Pink Sheets:EMTI) is pleased to announce plans to market its building-environment system to the many industries that increasingly require high-purity water for critical processes.

Given the high purity of the by-product water that its energy-saving AWE technology produces at no additional cost, its system offers a particular attraction for those industries and institutions for which ultra-high-purity water is imperative to their processes/business, added attraction beyond the obvious benefits of reducing energy consumption, improving Indoor Air Quality, eliminating mold, and supplying very pure drinking water with every installation.

LARGE AND GROWING MARKETS FOR ULTRA-HIGH-PURITY WATER

The markets for extra-pure water include numerous major industries such as laboratories, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, chemicals, microelectronics, food processors and semiconductor manufacturers, as well as institutions such as hospitals and other healthcare facilities and research centers. Because many microelectronic processes require ample supplies of ultra-pure water, the multibillion-dollar High-Tech industry is a major target market for the Company's 'AWE' building-environment system.

"In light of the enormous market potential identified in the area of ultra-pure water for critical industrial processes, the Company may indeed contemplate formation of a separate marketing division solely to pursue these specialized and promising markets", commented Environmental Technologies President, Harold Clifford.

AWE - THE PROMISE OF HEALTHIER IAQ

The Company's AWE technology has the demonstrated ability to virtually eliminate building mold and, by improving ventilation, significantly reduce the amount of pollutants in a building's 'atmosphere'. It will materially improve Indoor Air Quality with a system that will significantly reduce electrical costs, thus paying for its installation in the near term, and lowering overall building operating costs over the long term. In addition to addressing the very factors that contribute to unhealthy IAQ while simultaneously reducing energy consumption, the AWE system also produces extremely pure, by-product drinking/processing water at no further cost. Protected by patents, the technology includes a modification of the ingenious Thermosyphon Heat Transfer Loop developed by NASA and to this day used by NASA on the space shuttle. Since the NASA patents expired, Environmental Technologies' wholly-owned subsidiary, AWE (Air, Water, Energy) Engineering Inc. has adapted and modified the technology for commercial use in a wide variety of buildings, and is in the process of developing the system to address mass markets around the globe.
