Goran Gummeson new President of Volvo Penta


GOTEBORG, Sweden, Sept. 7, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Goran Gummeson has been appointed the new President of Volvo Penta. He succeeds Staffan Jufors, who was earlier appointed President of Volvo Trucks.

Goran Gummeson, who assumes his new duties on November 1, 2004, will also be a member of the Volvo Group Executive Committee.

Goran Gummeson, 57, has held various positions at Volvo Penta since 1991, with responsibility for both marine engines and industrial engines. Since 1998, he has been head of Volvo Penta's European operations, which account for approximately 50 percent of Volvo Penta's total sales.
