Los Angeles Board Of Airport Commissioners Elects Officers


LOS ANGELES, Sept. 7, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners (BOAC) today elected Cheryl K. Petersen as its president and W. Jerome Stanley as vice president.

Petersen, who has served on the commission since September 2000, most recently was BOAC vice president. She previously served on the Los Angeles Fire Commission from May 1999 to August 2000. Her term expires on June 30, 2007. Stanley was appointed to the BOAC on May 20, 2004. His term expires on June 30, 2009.

Stanley previously served as a member of the Los Angeles Convention Center Commission.

Other members of the Commission are: Miguel Contreras, Armando Vergara, David Voss, Peter Weil and Walter Zifkin.

The Board oversees the policy, management and operations of the four airports owned and operated by Los Angeles World Airports: Los Angeles International, Ontario International, Palmdale Regional, and Van Nuys.
