STOCK COMMENTARY:
Oracle (a stock in the headlines since last week) beat earnings after the closing bell, yesterday. The news was a surprise to some, all the same not a real big surprise. Evidently not big enough for many analysts. The talk among hedgefund managers is that Oracle really needed a more notable upside surprise. Analysts are distressed, as well, in regard to the 36% lessening in sales.
The stock market traded to positive territory by a thin margin Tuesday. Not very much news to push the major markets higher. Of course, interest rate fears did not help the situation. Pundits we discussed things to mentioned interest rate fears as a key reason they are not getting in, right now.
We continue to believe that the market unease recently is going to eventually turn south. A chief market researcher expects a pull back in all major sectors. All the same, our researchers also feel the coming drop will offer buying opportunities for disciplined traders.
