STOCK COMMENTARY:
Oracle (a stock in the news the last few days) came in a little better than expected after the closing bell, yesterday. The news is actually a bit unexpected to some, but not a really great surprise. Obviously not big enough for all investors. The word on the street is that Oracle truly required a more notable upside surprise. Investors are worried, too, regarding the 36% loss in sales.
The market moved to positive territory by a slim margin yesterday. Not a lot news to lead the stock market higher. Naturally, hurricane Ivan did not help things. Traders we discussed things to brought up hurricane Ivan as a key reason they are not jumping back in, thus far.
Our analysts continue to feel that the stock market malaise of late will eventually see a pullback. A top stock observer predicts a drop in all major sectors. Yet, our researchers also think the upcoming pull back is going to provide buying opportunities for disciplined investors.
