Upon the Heads of Our Children -- Investigators Chase Down Ghost Story that Leads to U.S. Vice President

LANSING, Mich., Sept. 20, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Norman P. Graham invites readers along for a bone-chilling, supernatural tale of murder and organized crime in his new thriller, Upon the Heads of Our Children (now available through AuthorHouse).

An engaged couple is chosen to solve a ghostly mystery that may involve the mob and the vice president of the United States. Roy Glen is a private investigator with a reputation for solving the most baffling cases. He is practical, rational and seems to attract danger like a scandal attracts reporters. There is nothing he can't handle, except trying to think of the best way to propose to his girlfriend, the beautiful, blonde investigative reporter Lori Snow. He decides to ask her to work with him on a case.

Together, they encounter a gambit of electrifying circumstances that would make most people question their sanity. Their journey takes them to a place called the Bruster Hotel, where Emil Bruster and his family were murdered in 1891. Lori has a terrifying vision, and senses a presence that she perceives to be a supernatural force. Her fears are reinforced when she goes to see a medium, who warns of impending personal danger. Roy, not one to buy into spooks and fortune tellers, nonetheless supports Lori in her quest to answer the questions surrounding the murders. Eventually, Roy is convinced that some unknown force is intruding on their lives. She and Roy find themselves in the underground world of organized crime that implicates a U.S. senator and the vice president. As they get closer to vindicating the spirit, members of a ruthless syndicate stalk them, which leads to a serious car accident.

With Lori in a coma, Roy sets out to put an end to this ghastly mystery and rain down justice Upon the Heads of Our Children.

Graham lives in Lansing, Mich., with his wife. He enlisted in the Marines after high school, then attended Mount Vernon Nazarene University before joining the Michigan National Guard. After a major accident in 1988, Graham stopped writing for nearly 15 years. In 2003, his wife challenged him to write again, which resulted in Upon the Heads of Our Children, his first novel.
