Diamond Discoveries Commences Drilling at Torngat

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Sept. 22, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- As stated in the press release dated September 8, 2004, Diamond Discoveries International Corp. (OTCBB:DMDD) is pleased to report that the drill is set up on the Torngat Mountain Property in northern Quebec and that drilling commenced on September 21, 2004. Peter Ferderber, consultant and project manager said, "Our initial target is the St Pierre kimberlite dyke system. Our first hole will be drilled at -45 degrees with an initial depth of 300 feet (90 metres)." Rock samples from the St. Pierre Dyke were confirmed to be kimberlite by a petrographic study by geological consultants, Miller and Associates. The samples contain mantle nodules of forsterite olivine. The composition of the mantle nodules is equivalent to the forsteritic olivine associated with diamondiferous kimberlites.

The company plans on completing 10,000 feet of drilling in 30 to 35 holes during this season and next spring. The drill program will continue this fall as long as weather permits. The drill equipment will remain on the property over the winter and drilling will continue in the spring. The primary targets for the fall drilling are the St. Pierre Dyke, Ned Dyke and the Mount Jacques Rousseau Kimberlite Dyke. Rock samples obtained from these kimberlites all contain diamond indicator minerals.

The drill program is being supervised by Prospecting Geophysics, whose president is consultant Peter Ferderber.
