WHAT: San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) linemen will get an
orientation briefing on conditions in Florida as they
prepare to fly to the hurricane-battered state to help
restore electric service there. They will be told what to
expect when they arrive, special safety considerations, and
information on what they will be expected to do.
WHERE: SDG&E headquarters at 8320 Century Park Court (Building
Six), Seminar briefing room.
WHEN: Monday, Sept. 27, 2004, 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
WHO: Utility linemen, briefing officials

AVAILABILITY: While reporters are welcome to attend the briefing, they
will not be allowed to ask questions during it. SDG&E
officials and several linemen will be available to answer
questions individually after the briefing.
