KWI Puts Customers First with Launch of KWI User Community

KWI hosts regional meetings dedicated to North American and European User Communities

HOUSTON, Sept. 30, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- KWI, the leading provider of trading and risk management software for the global energy industry, today announced the KWI User Community, a forum for customers to network and discuss ways to maximize their KWI investments. As part of the User Community program, KWI will be holding its North American meeting in Houston, Texas, on October 27-28, 2004 and its European meeting in Budapest, Hungary, on October 11-12, 2004. The two events will bring together KWI's North American and European clients to encourage them to share their experiences and learn from industry best practice.

The KWI User Community was established earlier this year to provide a discussion forum for KWI's customers worldwide. Chaired by Gitte Helmark, analyst at Energi E2, the User Community actively engages users worldwide, and works to share industry knowledge and develop a deeper understanding of KWI's solutions. Helmark will lead webinars, and customer meetings, as well as being a spokesperson for the community.

By establishing the User Community, KWI demonstrates its commitment to working closely with customers so that it can continue to develop and enhance its product and service offerings. Users dictate the agenda and issues for discussion, helping the company to remain customer centric. Topics on the agenda for the upcoming User Community meetings include product strategy for K2 and planning for the Annual Global User Group, which will take place in Spring 2005.

David Bucknall, CEO, KWI, commented, "KWI is dedicated to its customers and places huge importance on spending time with individual users to assess their needs. These smaller, regional user groups allow us to focus on the specific needs of our customers in each region and help us to understand how we can continue to improve our products and services. We are particularly keen to discuss the product strategy for K2 and discuss how we can continue to help our customers face the demands of today's competitive market. Many of the existing customers will be upgrading to make use of the multi-commodity, emissions and fuels trading functionality in K2. This is a direct response to the way the energy market is developing globally."

The North American User Meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 27 and Thursday, October 28, at the Hyatt Regency Houston. The European User Meeting will take place on Monday, October 11 and Tuesday, October 12 October at MVM's offices in Budapest, Hungary.
