ShockRounds CEO to Address Two Major World Conferences: the 2nd International Policing Conference 2004 and the Jane's 7th Annual Less-Lethal Weapons Conference

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Oct. 5, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- MDM Group, Inc. (Pink Sheets:MDDM) advises that Mr. Marshall Couper, CEO of ShockRounds(tm), will be addressing two major International security and law enforcement conferences.

Mr. Couper will feature as a speaker at the Jane's 7th Annual Less-Lethal Weapons Conference being organized in Dublin, Ireland on the 19th and 20th of October, 2004, by Jane's Information Group, publisher of Jane's Defense Weekly and specialist provider of high-level conferences. The Conference has been specifically developed for today's police and military leaders who must apply force to manage rapidly unfolding operational situations where time is short, the facts are unclear and lives are at stake. The Conference theme, "Critical Incident Intervention Including Less-Lethal Weapons in War and Peace," will explore the latest developments in less-lethal weapons from decision-making procedures to deployment of LLWs and their effectiveness. Mr. Couper will also be presenting at the 2nd International Policing Conference 2004 in Adelaide, Australia, November 1-3, 2004. The Conference theme "Safety and Security in a Hi-Tech World," features speakers representing leading organizations from countries including the U.S.A., the U.K., Europe, Asia, Canada and Australia in the field of law enforcement, technology, business and finance. Mr. Couper's presentation will be part of the Less-Lethal Forum which brings together the world's foremost less-lethal subject matter experts in this specialized field.

Colonel John B. Alexander, U.S. Army (Ret), Chairman of the ShockRounds(tm) Advisory Board, will also feature at this conference as a keynote speaker. (See: www.ipc2004.com/programs.shtml)

ABOUT SHOCKROUNDS

ShockRounds(tm)-enabled munitions will potentially provide more versatile, effective and safe 'hostile situation' solutions for law enforcement, military, border control, anti-terrorism and Homeland Security initiatives. When fired, ShockRounds(tm)-enabled munitions generate extremely high voltage charges that have the capacity, depending on the munitions used, to effect behavior modification or target incapacitation on impact. The ShockRounds(tm) technology is proposed to be incorporated in both less-lethal rubber bullets as well as in traditional metal jacket munitions.

Given the global emphasis on law enforcement, security and terrorism prevention, the need for new and more effective non-lethal and less-lethal weapons could not be more acute. ShockRounds(tm) technology is applicable to all these markets and security needs as they will introduce greater versatility, safety and options for the personnel that work in these market sectors.
