Montana Oil & Gas: Westlock Gas Well to Be Completed as a Producer

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Oct. 8, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Montana Oil & Gas (Pink Sheets:MOGI) -- Peter Sanders, President, is pleased to announce that the Operator of the Westlock well has reported that the gas well has been perforated and flowed at one million cubic feet per day for several hours today to clean-up the formation. The pressures were 964 PSI (pounds per square inch) at surface and between 1050 to 1075 PSI at the perforation depth indicating a potential new pool relative to the off-set gas well. After flowing, the wellhead pressure returned to the original shut in pressure immediately. The Operator will conduct extended flow-tests next week to determine the daily flow rates.

Peter Sanders, President, states "The Operator is currently planning a pipeline to tie the well into the most appropriate facility and sales line in the immediate future." Additional updates will be released upon receipt of further test results.
