Photo Release -- Successful Missile Test Using Lapis Technologies Inc., Simulator and Test Equipment For The Arrow Missile


NEW YORK, Oct. 12, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Arrow, an anti-ballistic missile under development by the United States and Israel, intercepted and destroyed an incoming Scud missile over the Pacific Ocean, while it was still in flight. The Testing Equipment for the launcher is manufactured by Enertec Systems 2001 Inc.

The test represented a realistic scenario and was conducted at the Point Mugu Sea Range in California. Enertec Systems 2001 Inc., a majority owned subsidiary of Lapis Technologies Inc, (OTCBB:LPST) made the simulator for this missile, and is the major supplier of support test systems for this aero-program, to test and activate all the missiles' functions and controls in order to assure a smooth launch. This is a ruggedized system that is designed for tropical conditions. It costs several hundreds of thousands of dollars per unit.
