Wall Street News Alert: U.S. Hot Stock Highlights -- October 12, Part 3

WESTON, Fla., Oct. 12, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Wall Street News Alert's "stocks to watch" this morning are: Bullion River Gold Corp. (OTCBB:BLRV), The Wet Seal, Inc. (Nasdaq:WTSLA), Sohu.com Inc. (Nasdaq:SOHU) and EarthLink, Inc. (Nasdaq:ELNK).

Aggressive investors and traders will want to watch Bullion River Gold Corp. (OTCBB:BLRV) again this morning! Yesterday after the markets closed, the company issued a press release announcing that it has completed two of the three planned drill holes at its Antone Canyon Project in south-central Nevada.

This could be more good news for investors! According to the press release, assays are pending for both holes. The program has the potential to significantly expand high-grade gold mineralization intersected in previous programs. After the completion of the third hole, drilling operations will commence at the Corcoran Canyon Project, where drilling will attempt to extend a potentially open-pittable silver-gold resource.

Dr. Jacob Margolis, Bullion River's Vice President of Exploration reiterates that: "The identified resource at Corcoran is clearly part of a much larger volcanic-hosted silver-gold system, with mineralization and strong alteration identified over more than 3 miles of strike length. In addition to extending the resource, there's an intriguing covered target east of the range front along the trend, and we plan to test that environment as well. It's important to bear in mind that, although the Corcoran resource is silver-dominated (approx. 5 ounces per ton (opt) Ag), its 0.025 opt gold grade is higher than the life-of-mine average grade at the world-class Round Mountain gold deposit 14 miles to the west being mined by Barrick Gold and Kinross Gold. The two systems share important similarities. Also, given the increased price of silver, we are quite keen to continue with exploration at Corcoran."

Investors will want to watch this one! It was just last week that through its 100%-owned subsidiary French Gulch (Nevada) Mining Corp. (FGNMC), it has executed an exploration agreement with the Washington-Niagara Partnership of Wisconsin, whereby FGNMC may acquire the Washington-Niagara property in the French Gulch mining district in northern California.

The stock closed yesterday at Seventy-Seven cents a share.

In case you are not familiar with the company: Bullion River Gold Corp. is a mineral exploration company focusing on regions containing gold-silver deposits. The company's primary focus is the Great Basin in the Western United States and the Motherlode belt of California. Bullion River seeks projects that contain or have potential to contain high grades and large tonnage potential. Bullion River will also focus on projects that contain potential for mineralization concealed under post-mineral cover.

Stocks showing interesting activity yesterday at the close of the regular trading day were: The Wet Seal, Inc. (Nasdaq:WTSLA) up 1.1% on 2.2 million shares traded, Sohu.com Inc. (Nasdaq:SOHU) up 2.6% on 1.2 million shares traded and EarthLink, Inc. (Nasdaq:ELNK) up 3.7% on 2.5 million shares traded.

Commentary:

"The Senate passed a far-reaching, $136 billion corporate tax package Monday that cuts taxes for businesses ranging from film companies to bow and arrow makers while closing tax loopholes and bringing U.S. exporters in line with international trade rules," stated Mario Cardenas in Wall Street News Alert's daily commentary continued at: http://www.WallStreetNewsAlert.com.
