 StockPickReport Commentary

"We Asked and You (and the Market) Answered!"

We'd like to know something. Your opinion is VERY important on this question, by the way. Would you like to see more commentary on the broad markets, current events (and how they relate to the market), or "ways to make money or save money in any market?" The reason we ask is that, yes, we love stocks, and yes, we love picking them, but we also LOVE helping people find ways to profit in their daily lives in as many ways as possible.

What would you like to read? Please take a minute and tell us how you feel.

Okay, as for yesterday, we stated our incredulity at the market's resilience versus bad economic environments, rising oil prices, and overvaluation. We asked, "What do you think has held the markets up so well, all things considered?"

Stocks answered with a generally down day. Hey, we know the market doesn't give a rat's "booty" (to be polite) about what we think, but it was sort of ironic that oil prices climbed again and stocks were weak.

Of more interest to us is the answer we received from member "Angell." Angell says, "I think that everyone wants to trade so badly that they don't care anymore...let's just trade! And also, maybe that we've been thru so much trauma in the past 3 years that nothing shocks us for very long. Trauma has become the norm now! Life goes on and so does stock trading. In an area that has seen long term war zones...the children will play in the street with bombs going off just blocks away and their parents are oblivious, also! I think that the same thing is at work with the stock market, now."

We think Angell's answer is as valid as any we've seen!

A trader asked after the close, "Where do you think the market will go from here?" After some thought (and chart reading), we believe there is a good chance for lower prices. We are "stating the obvious" when we say, "now is a good time to watch your stop/losses."

The S&P closed right at the 200-day average. With momentum to the downside, we will not be surprised to see a continuation downward if that moving-average is broken more severely.

For the record, the technical indicators we look at, RSI, Stochastics, and MACD all signal downside, too.

So, what we stated last week, we reiterate -- the breakdown below the trendline since January, AND the weakening technicals, give us reason to believe traders should be on guard.

Yeah, that's not "cheerful" news, but it could be PROFITABLE news. If the markets drop, your STOP/LOSSES will keep money IN YOUR POCKET.

...sorry for the shouting...

See you tomorrow!
