EMS SATCOM Receives EASA Part-145 Certification


LAS VEGAS, Oct. 13, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- EMS Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:ELMG) announced today at the National Business Aviation Association's 57th Annual Meeting & Convention, that the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has granted a Part 145 Maintenance Organization Approval Certificate to EMS Technologies' SATCOM Division.

As an EASA-approved maintenance organization, the SATCOM Division of EMS will be able to release, and return to service, all of its aeronautical communication avionics systems within EASA organization countries.

"This certification opens up many new aeronautical opportunities within the European Community which had previously been difficult to break into without EEC partnerships," said Neil Mackay, general manager and senior vice president of the SATCOM Division of EMS Technologies. "This further demonstrates to our European clients that EMS SATCOM continues to be recognized by industry regulators as a superior provider of aeronautical products and services."
