On the OTCBB;
Galaxy Minerals (OTCBB:GAXY). Galaxy announced after the closing bell Wednesday "that it has taken a large step toward production at its Yellow Jacket Mine Property in Santa Cruz County, Arizona. As recently stated by the Company, Galaxy now intends to complete pre-production planning at the Yellow Jacket Project, with Phase III commencing immediately."
Operations Director Bruce Oettel stated, "Phase III Operations on the Yellow Jacket Mine looks to be exciting as the data gathered to date has been very encouraging. It is anticipated that the coarse gold found in recent assays may be in evidence throughout the workings. With this infusion of cash, we will get to the point of pre-production faster."
GAXY is currently trading at around .55 a share today, up 0.04 (7.84%)
On the Nasdaq;
Anglo American PLC (Nasdaq:AAUK)
Anglo American plc, with its subsidiaries, joint ventures and associates, is engaged in the mining and natural resource sectors. The Company owns a range of assets covering gold, platinum, diamonds, coal, ferrous and base metals, industrial minerals and paper and packaging.
AAUK is currently trading at around $23.01 a share today, up $0.16 (0.70%).
On the AMEX;
Golden Star Resources Ltd. (AMEX:GSS) (TSX:GSC)
Latest: Oct. 7, announced that it has successfully progressed the revitalization of its Guiana Shield properties in South America.
GSS is currently trading at around $5.22 a share today, up $0.20 (3.98%).
Wheaton River Minerals Ltd. ("Wheaton") (AMEX:WHT) (TSX:WRM)
Latest: Announced on Sept. 29 that it has received a US$86 million cash distribution from Alumbrera.
WHT is currently trading at around $3.13 a share today, up $0.07 (2.29%).
Cambior (AMEX:CBJ) (TSX:CBJ)
Cambior Inc. is an international gold producer with operations, development projects and exploration activities throughout the Americas. Cambior's shares trade on the Toronto (TSX) and American (AMEX) stock exchanges under the symbol "CBJ". Cambior's warrants, "CBJ.WT.C", trade on the TSX.
CBJ is currently trading at around $2.99 a share today, up $0.07 (2.29%)
