Homeland Security Technology Inc. Ships 700 Combat Trauma Bags to Us Armed Forces

DEL MAR, Oct. 18, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Jeff Powers CEO of Homeland Security Technology, Inc. (Pink Sheets:HSTJ) announced today that the company has shipped 700 Combat Trauma Bags to the US Armed Forces. The remaining 2,360 bags are in production and are expected to be shipped out within the 30 to 45 days. The bags are intended for use by Navy Corpsman working side by side with combat Marines in Afganistan and Iraq. Navy Corpsman and Army medics have one of the most dangerous jobs on the battlefield. The nature of their job causes them to expose themselves to the same enemy fire that wounded their fellow soldier or Marine and provide aid to the wounded individual in the "beaten zone" of the enemy fire. The combat trauma bag, because of its smaller size and ease of use, is helping these lifesavers in their mission and reducing their profile to the enemy gunners. The lighter the equipment that these men carry, the greater the ease of accomplishment of their mission. The ability to load the bag with essential mission-related trauma equipment and its quick accessibility while in the kill zone helps save the wounded warrior and the corpsman/medic providing the aid.
