Mobular Technologies, Inc. Appoints Allen Dillard Chief Executive Officer


HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Oct. 18, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Mobular Technologies(r), Inc. ("Mobular" or the "Company") announced today that Allen Dillard has been appointed as the Company's Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Dillard currently serves as the Company's Chief Operating Officer and as a member of its Board of Directors. Dillard succeeds Stuart Obermann, who has announced a reduction in his day-to-day involvement due to a family medical situation.

Dillard will be responsible for Mobular's vision, mission and operations and will focus on growing market share and capitalizing on the Company's strong technology foundation and well-established position in several markets.

Commenting on the announcement, Chairman Obermann said, "The Board and I have been working on this succession and transition plan for many months, and I am confident that Allen is well prepared to lead Mobular towards continued success. I look forward to working with Mobular's Board and Allen in his new capacity."

Dillard's career encompasses over 20 years of senior-executive experience. Prior to joining Mobular, he served as Treasurer and Director of Corporate Communications at Wolverine Tube, Inc. (NYSE:WLV). Previously he served as Corporate Vice President, Treasurer and CFO of Nichols Research Corporation, a NASDAQ-listed IT and services company, which was acquired by Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE:CSC) in 1999. Dillard began his career as a public accountant with Ernst & Young. He is a certified public accountant and a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
