PonyExpress Anticipates Profitability by Year End

Company Commences Operations in its Fulfillment Division

BOCA RATON, Fla., Oct. 21, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Pony Express U.S.A., Inc. (OTCBB:PYXP), an emerging business delivery solutions provider, announced today it anticipates the company will reach profitability by the end of 2004. The company made the announcement after a recent streamlining of its operations as it expands its fulfillment division which, due to a newly developed infrastructure, has a healthy profit margin, according to Peter Ticktin, President and CEO.

PonyExpress(r)'s fulfillment division provides customers with an array of services such as inventory control, restocking, assembly, and display design and visual merchandising.

"We believe that profitability equals stability and we are making the changes necessary to achieve this profitability, hopefully by Thanksgiving, but definitely before year end," said Ticktin. "It will be accomplished through our outstanding shipping capabilities coupled with the success we are seeing in the fulfillment division which features high-volume clients including major plant growers in Florida. Pony's combination of shipping and fulfillment gives us a distinct advantage in the marketplace -- which we are aggressively pursuing."

Ticktin also said the company plans to expand its fulfillment services into other states beginning with Georgia, followed by South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia. Expansion into these states begins within the next few months with market penetration into all four states anticipated by the end of 2005. In addition, the company announced it is moving its administrative offices from Boca Raton, Florida, to nearby Pompano Beach, Florida. The administrative staff will be headquartered at Pony Express' Pompano Depot.

"This is to save on unnecessary expenses. Profitability is not going to be derived from increased revenue alone. Expenses are being cut wherever pragmatically sensible," said Ticktin.
